Finding Serenity in Sobriety
Welcome to my blog! I'm glad you're here and excited to share my thoughts and ideas with you. I've decided to add a blog to this website because I've received many questions about my work and my debut book that deserve more than just a quick reply, email, or DM.
I have a strong passion for learning and a deep love for research. I make it a priority to attend as many professional conferences as possible. My goal is to share the information I gain with you quickly rather than waiting to include it in my next book. For example, I recently attended the Alabama School for Drug and Alcohol Studies in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, where I participated in an excellent workshop on adapting Maslow’s hierarchy of needs for working with adults who have experienced childhood trauma. (I’ll share more about this topic later.)
I want to clarify that the thoughts shared here are my personal opinions and views, and they are not intended as a substitute for therapy or counseling. I plan to make an entry almost every week, and I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoy writing them. Please email me with any comments, ideas, or topics you would like me to address.
